Social Media Posting Calendar – Planning is Your Key to Success!
Planning your social media posting times around when your followers are active is KEY to increasing your reach and engagement!
Take Facebook for example. Under the INSIGHTS tab on your Facebook page, you can click POSTS in the left sidebar and identify days and times WHEN YOUR FANS ARE ONLINE!:
After managing over 500 clients posts, we have concluded that there are a few key times you should be posting, but make sure to test your own audience to see when they are active!
EVERYDAY OF THE WEEK:
7:30am – 10:30am (ALL social media platforms) – People are just waking up or just getting to work… what do they do first? CHECK SOCIAL MEDIA!
3:30pm – 5:30pm (Twitter retweets spike)
7:30pm – 9:30pm (ALL social media platforms) – People are bored after dinner…
Noon – 10pm (ALL social media platforms) – Split test posting times with your audience, but I see some of my highest engagement rates in the afternoons/evenings on the weekends!
Time to Schedule Posts
Once you identify your best posting times, SCHEDULE your posting! I suggest apps like Later.com (with a built-in Social Media Posting Calendar) or you can use the schedule feature built right into the social media platform (take a look at Facebook for example):
